Wellness webinar: Understanding Cholesterol—Your Key to Heart Health

Are you confused about cholesterol? September is Cholesterol Awareness Month—a perfect time to get the facts. Unhealthy cholesterol levels are a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, and more than 21,000 Americans die of cardiovascular disease each day, an average of one death every 40 seconds.

Learn more about cholesterol and what you can do if your levels are unhealthy by viewing the webinar Understanding Cholesterol—Your Key to Heart Health at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

The presenter, Tricia Cates, will review the components of a lipid profile and what they mean, discuss lifestyle factors that can impact and improve cholesterol levels, and provide simple tips to keep cholesterol in a healthy range.

Cates delivers group education on a variety of health and wellness topics to participants within a worksite setting. She has more than 10 years' professional experience managing her personal training business and working as a clinical exercise physiologist. She is also an instructor for the personal training certificate and degree programs at Pinnacle Career Institute.
