Speaking for Success: Improving American English Pronunciation is a Learning and Development workshop structured for individuals who wish to listen, improve, and practice their American English speech in order to become more understandable to listeners.
Non-native speakers of American English often know the grammar to create meaningful sentences but are unfamiliar with differences in pronunciation, use of articles, or gender identification. Lack of speech precision or mispronunciation may lead to errors, misunderstandings, and/or general communication breakdown, both socially and on the job.
This is a three-day class, and participants must attend each day of training. It will be held July 20, 27, and 31 at Johns Hopkins at Eastern.
