Are you 10 to 20 years from retirement and questioning your path to getting there? If so, be sure to view the webinar Getting on Track for Retirement at noon on Thursday, May 18.
By using an online calculator, you will learn how to estimate whether you will have sufficient income in retirement, and, if not, you will receive practical solutions on how to get back on track. In addition, strategies for claiming Social Security will be explained—specifically, how delaying payments until age 70 increases lifetime Social Security benefits, and how taking them before full retirement age reduces them.
The presenter, Steve Michael, is a retirement education specialist in Vanguard's Participant Education Department who has been working with the company's institutional clients since 1996. He coordinated the webinar team from 2004 through 2014, and now also travels extensively to conduct meetings for live audiences. He holds FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation from the College of Financial Planning.
You do not need to be a Vanguard participant in order to use its online calculator.
