As you plan for annual enrollment, research your benefit options and use the many resources available to help you make the best choices for you and your family. Here are six steps you can take to make sure you're ready to make informed decisions during this year's sign-up period, which runs from Oct. 21 through Nov. 8.
Attend a benefits fair to meet our vendors and learn more about the coverage they offer. The fairs will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, in East Baltimore's Turner Concourse and on Monday, Oct. 10, in Homewood's Glass Pavilion.
Attend a town hall to hear from the Benefits team and get answers to your questions. A prerecorded version of this presentation will be available online in October.
Visit myChoices in October to see an overview of what's offered at annual enrollment.
Try the Medical Plan Coverage Comparison tool, available in October on the myChoices website, to get a side-by-side look at how health care services are covered under each plan. You can customize the settings to compare the features and services that are important to you.
Consult the Health and Welfare Handbook to see plan details.
Confirm that your dependent and beneficiary information is up-to-date. Those enrolled in university-provided life insurance or a retirement plan should have beneficiary information on file.
If you have any questions, email the Benefits Service Center at benefits@jhu.edu or call 410-516-2000.
