New: Enhanced benefits for child, adult, pet, home caregiving needs

As a Johns Hopkins employee, you now have increased Care.com resources at your fingertips 24/7.

Care.com is the world's largest online network of caregivers and businesses in child care, adult and senior care, pet care, housekeeping, and tutoring, and your access to its database is now free and unlimited.

In addition, you no longer need to front the full cost of backup care and seek the reimbursement to which you're entitled as an employee; there's now a low, salary-based co-pay.

To get started, you must preregister on the Work, Life and Engagement website. You will then receive an email with details about enrolling with Care@Work and searching for care providers based on your needs. If you have a pre-existing paid monthly account through Care.com, you should indicate this in the comments box on the preregistration form; you may be eligible for a refund.

The online database includes caregiver profiles, reviews, and certifications, along with resources for performing additional vetting; you can also post your own job request. Either way, you qualify, vet, select, and negotiate with the caregiver about expectations and payment.
