Last semester, the JHU community was invited to submit names for a new shared student registration and financial services organization, which will launch in July. More than 80 potential name submissions were received. After several rounds of review with students, staff, and leadership, a name was selected: Student Enrollment and Account Management.
SEAM was created as part of the Student Services Excellence Initiative (SSEI), a major universitywide effort to improve the student services experience. SEAM will serve as a key component in the enhancement of processes and systems in three areas: financial aid, student accounts, and registration. Other improvements include enhanced digital self-service tools and mobile-friendly, easy-to-use online resources. SEAM will use a student-focused approach with a knowledgeable and highly trained cross-functional student support services team. SEAM will be led by the new assistant vice provost for enrollment services. The enrollment services student support operation will be led by Tanya Johnson, inaugural university director of SEAM Student Support Operations.
Members of the JHU community are invited to attend an SSEI virtual town hall. During the town halls, SSEI leadership will provide updates on the progress of SSEI and SEAM, review the SEAM organizational structure, and discuss SEAM employment opportunities. Please use the following links to register for a town hall:
The town halls will be recorded and posted on the SSEI website.
