Students, staff, faculty, and other members of the JHU community: Be a part of JHU history by naming a newly formed organization dedicated to serving students across JHU!
This new unit is a major component of a universitywide project to improve student services through the enhancement of processes and systems in three areas: financial aid, billing, and registration. Other improvements include enhanced digital self-service tools and mobile-friendly, easy-to-use online resources.
Twenty people who submit ideas will be randomly selected to win a $25 Amazon gift card! We're looking for names that are catchy, universally applicable to all students across the JHU divisions, and that help communicate the intent and purpose of the organization.
About the organization: The Shared Services Organization (SSO), a centralized, modernized and integrated student services operation, was formed through the Student Services Excellence Initiative (SSEI) as a key step in enhancing the overall student, staff, and faculty experience at Hopkins as it relates to enrollment services of Registration, Financial Aid, and Student Accounts functions. The SSO will use a student-focused approach with a knowledgeable and highly trained cross-functional customer services team. The customer services operation is led by Tanya Johnson, inaugural university director of Student Enrollment Customer Services.
We are committed to the idea that students should have a say in influencing the organizations that serve them. Starting from the ground up. Students and staff are encouraged to submit ideas on the Naming Contest website.
