ONEHopkins—Johns Hopkins University's annual giving day—will take place on Thursday, March 14. The day, a celebration of all that Johns Hopkins accomplishes collectively, gives members of the Hopkins community the opportunity to support the causes that matter most to them.
For the second year in a row, ONEHopkins also falls on Pi Day, and supporters who make a gift of $31.41 or more can receive a pair of limited-edition Hopkins joggers to show off their Hopkins pride.
"I've always been a firm believer in giving gifts rather than just receiving," says Dean Sharif, a sophomore majoring in behavioral biology and mathematics and a scholarship recipient who has benefitted from donor support. "Without the generosity of the donors who contributed to my scholarship, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to be a part of Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity. APO has given me a lot of experiences in giving, and the feeling you get for just giving is really rewarding, especially when it's for our community."
ONEHopkins is vital to Johns Hopkins' philanthropic efforts. Across the university, divisions have secured extra funding in matching and challenge gifts for the day. That means that no matter where supporters choose to direct their gift, they have a chance to increase their impact.
Donors are encouraged to give to any area of Johns Hopkins that they care about. From scholarship and financial aid support, to unique off-campus learning experiences for students—every gift strengthens Hopkins.
"Donor support means a lot more than they realize," says Rachel Tepas, a junior majoring in medicine, science, and humanities. "It feels like they've helped me reach the unreachable."
Every gift counts toward the 5,000-donor goal, no matter the size, and you can spread the word using #ONEHopkins on Facebook, Instagram, and X.
