Johns Hopkins University will host an on-campus memorial service on Jan. 26 to honor longtime football coach Jim Margraff, who died Wednesday at his Baltimore-area home. He was 58.
The service will take place at 5 pm on Saturday, Jan. 26, in the O'Connor Recreation Center on the university's Homewood campus.
Margraff's wife, Alice; their children, Megan, James, and Will; and other members of the Margraff family will greet guests beginning at 3:30 p.m. Parking will be available at various campus locations.
Margraff, a 1982 Johns Hopkins graduate, served as head coach at his alma mater for 29 seasons, from 1990 through 2018. His 221 wins are the most in school and Maryland state history and ranked third among active Division III head coaches at the end of the 2018 season. Margraff was named the 2018 D3football.com National Coach of the Year last month.
