Go nuts for donuts: Students get a pastry break before finals begin

There's nothing like a hot drink and a glazed donut to help make the transition between reading period and finals go down a little easier.

Johns Hopkins University President Ronald J. Daniels joined Smita Ruzicka, dean of student life, to distribute the tasty treats Tuesday night outside MSE Library. When they weren't passing out pastries, the two administrators took time to chat with students and pose for selfies on the newly lit quad.

The Donuts with the President study break has become an annual tradition, providing a sweet break before finals begin. Final exam period opened today and ends on Friday, Dec. 21.
