Homewood's newest eatery, Bamboo Café, will open Wednesday, Oct. 1, in the Mattin Center, featuring Asian cuisine.
Like the other venues on campus operated by Johns Hopkins Dining and Bon Appétit Management Company, Bamboo Café will use fresh, local ingredients for its menu items, including bahn mi, a Vietnamese sandwich served on a fresh French roll; bao, or steamed buns; pho (noodle soup); miso soup; salads; sides; fruit smoothies; bubble teas; and desserts. Sushi will be the highlight, available made to order or prepackaged for guests in a hurry.
Located in the space formerly occupied by Silk Road Café, Bamboo Café's hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. Dining dollars will be accepted in addition to cash, credit, and J-Cash.
The café will also offer both an enhanced indoor and outdoor seating area. New sofas and movable chairs, tables, and outdoor umbrellas will make the dining space more welcoming and relaxed for patrons to enjoy the café with friends and colleagues.
