Faculty, staff, and students at Johns Hopkins University found a holiday gift in their inboxes today—a message of gratitude from President Ronald J. Daniels, plus the fifth installment of university's annual Thank You video (see above).
Daniels' message reads:
At this time of year, as we race through our days, smartphones in hand, their glow reflecting off our faces, it's important to look up on occasion and take time to appreciate all those who give meaning to our lives.
In that spirit, I'd like to thank all of you for your continued dedication to Johns Hopkins University. Every day, you bring new ideas and boundless energy to your work. Your accomplishments are an inspiration not only to me, but also to the individuals around the world whose lives are touched by your ingenuity and creativity.
Time and again, you've shown us that even the smallest expressions of humanity and gratitude can, as they say, go viral.
From my family to yours, best wishes for a safe and joyful new year. I hope you'll enjoy this year's video message.
Each December since 2009, Johns Hopkins has produced a whimsical (often musical) year-end video to thank supporters and friends.
A look back at past installments:
2009: We Thank You
2010: Model University
2011: Thank You For All You Do
