What the New Administration Means for AI Policy
Thursday, Jan. 23 | 11 a.m. EST
Experts consider the implications of anticipated policy and regulatory changes on artificial intelligence.
Speakers include:
- Tinglong Dai, the Bernard T. Ferrari Professor at Johns Hopkins’ Carey Business School whose span of research included human-AI interaction. He is co-lead of the Bloomberg Distinguished Professorship Cluster on Global Advances in Medical Artificial Intelligence and co-chair of the Johns Hopkins Workgroup on AI and Healthcare.
- Gillian Hadfield, a professor of computer science with a joint appointment in the School of Government and Policy. Her research focuses on innovative design for legal and regulatory systems for AI and other complex global technologies.
- Suchi Saria, director the Machine Learning and Healthcare Lab and founding research director of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. She uses machine learning to pioneer ways to diagnose and treat patients. Algorithms she created are being used in hospitals to save people from contracting sepsis.
