Alum teams up with country stars for Nashville music venue

Camille Tambunting, A&S '15, chief operating officer of Strategic Hospitality LLC, was featured in the Amazon Prime documentary Friends in Low Places: Building the Oasis. Released in March, the docuseries follows Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, and others as they build a dream honky-tonk entertainment space in the heart of Nashville's Lower Broadway. Tambunting's group assisted in bringing their ideas to fruition, ultimately transforming the four-story building into an oasis of world-class sound, stage, lights, screens, food, and drinks. "This project is so special to the city, and we're lucky that they decided to film it," Tambunting says. "It captured the heart of the building and memorialized it forever." She credits her time working at the restaurant Fleet Street Kitchen in downtown Baltimore while studying at Hopkins with inspiring her to pursue a career in the industry. Tambunting was also recently named to the Nashville Business Journal's 40 Under 40 list.
