Wearing many hats isn't an unfamiliar concept to Kimberly Kong, Peab '09. In fact, the Pittsburgh native rotates hers often in her daily roles as a Peabody Preparatory faculty member; doctoral and master's degree student at Peabody Conservatory; pianist in the Ward-Kong Duo, a cello-piano ensemble created with fellow faculty member Alicia Ward; and creator of the popular lifestyle blog Sensible Stylista.

Kong's busy musical career has taken her to New York's Carnegie Hall, D.C.'s Kennedy Center, and Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall, yet she still finds time to share her favorite fashion, food, and beauty finds with her more than half a million followers. Kong encourages other young female bloggers to adopt her attitude toward risk. "We have to learn to embrace vulnerability. Don't be afraid to put yourself in a position where you're worried that you'll fail," she says. "Take as many risks as possible."
