A recent addition to the Homewood campus encouraged students to take a break from the hustle of classes and enjoy the warm weather.
On the first day of spring, more than 80 colorful chairs (and a handful of side tables) were dropped off at three Homewood campus locations— Wyman Quad, Keyser Quad, and the lawn next to Whitehead Hall—courtesy of Homewood Student Affairs.
Students were free to rearrange the chairs, move them around, and use them however they saw fit.
"We know our students are extremely driven, and often it's hard to find those moments to just stop, relax, and reflect," says Kevin Shollenberger, vice provost for student affairs. "We hope these chairs are used as informal gathering places where our students will sit with their friends and enjoy a new perspective of our beautiful campus."
