Hopkins helps celebrate 50th anniversary of Baltimore Pride

Affiliates from Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Medicine showed their pride as they marched up North Charles Street on Saturday

Hundreds of Johns Hopkins affiliates joined in Baltimore City's 50th Pride celebration last week, including marching in its annual parade on Saturday, June 14. The parade travelled north on North Charles Street, culminating in a block party just south of Homewood campus.

Baltimore Pride started in 1975 as a small, peaceful demonstration. Since then, the event has since grown into Maryland's largest LGBTQ+ celebration.
