Hundreds of new Blue Jays arrive on move-in day for first-year students
Incoming first-year students moved into campus housing on Sunday, marking the beginning of New Student Orientation at Hopkins

/ Published Aug 19, 2024The Homewood and Peabody campuses were filled with activity and moving boxes Sunday as Johns Hopkins University officially welcomed the Class of 2028 for First-Year Student Move-In Day.
This year's incoming class, numbering about 1,300 students, hails from 46 states, 35 countries, three territories, and Washington, D.C., with more than 20% identifying as first-generation college students. To all of JHU's new Blue Jays: Welcome, and have fun during Orientation Week!
