Diwali Dhamaka celebration

Students gathered Nov. 6 in the Ralph S. O'Connor Center for Recreation and Well-Being for Diwali, the joyous five-day festival of lights celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains across the world. Marking the new year in those faith traditions, Diwali symbolizes new beginnings and the celebration of good over evil. This annual event is the largest student-organized event of the fall semester on the Homewood campus, bringing together Hindu students and families in the Baltimore area to celebrate and share Hindu customs and Indian culture.
