CTEI Ed Journal Club: Sarah Shunkwiler
Description
Sarah Shunkwiler, an instructional designer at the Whiting School's Center for Teaching and Learning Design, will lead the Center for Teaching Excellence and Innovation's (CTEI) next Education Journal Club discussion about Johns Hopkins students, faculty, and staff imagining accessibility design for disabled colleagues, based on her article "The Ripple Effect—The Role of Accessibility Education in Creating a Culture of Inclusion in STEM."
In spring 2023, CTEI started a journal club focused on teaching and learning topics in higher education. It is inspired and informed by faculty in the JHU Biology Department, who ran it enthusiastically in pre-pandemic times. The CTEI Ed Journal Club encompasses all disciplines, so people from all fields are free to join.
