FAFSA Night with CollegeBound on the Homewood Campus
University employees with high-schoolers can get expert help in completing the FAFSA
Description
Get help applying for federal financial aid with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at an upcoming FAFSA Night led by the University's dedicated college access specialists.
On Wednesday, Jan. 28 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., in person on the Homewood campus, experts will help you and your student(s) complete the FAFSA, that serves as the gateway to financial aid opportunities. Whether or not you believe your family qualifies for any grants, this is an important first step for college affordability.
At FAFSA Night, you'll create your Federal Student Aid Identification (FSA ID), complete both the student and parent sections, and submit the application, which will take about 30-60 minutes. Your student(s) can also get help completing their College Scholarship Service Profile (CSS profile) for their chosen colleges, so plan to for extra time if needed. Be sure to have your student(s)' and your Social Security numbers on hand.
This event is part of a new college access benefit with CollegeBound for employees with high school–age children, offering personalized college counseling and financial aid guidance.
