Description

While men are less likely to experience depression than women, they are also less likely to seek treatment when it occurs and also face a higher risk of suicide than women.

Join CCA supporting the Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program (JHEAP) for this seminar to explore the causes and impacts of male depression, as well as the societal stigmas that discourage men from seeking help.

Participants will learn to recognize the signs of depression, discover strategies for self-support, and understand how to assist others in need.

Through Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program (JHEAP), JHU employees and their household members have 24/7 access to free, confidential consultation, counseling and referrals for challenges such as stress at work or at home, emotional distress, navigating change and uncertainty, and so much more.
