Prerequisite: "Introduction to Python for Absolute Beginners" or some experience using Python
Application programming interfaces (APIs) allow you to access live, structured data from sources like government agencies, research repositories, and online platforms. This hands-on workshop introduces the basics of working with APIs in Python. You'll learn how to make API requests, handle responses, and work with common data formats like JSON and XML. The presenters will also cover how to read API documentation and troubleshoot common issues.
