November Chess Tournament

Description

The Chess Club is excited to host its November 2025 tournament. This will take the place of the club's usual meeting. No experience is necessary—all skill levels are welcome.

The tournament will follow a Swiss format with three to four rounds of 10+3 rapid games (10 minutes per player, with a three-second increment per move). There will also be two sections to help with having fairer pairings: an Open section and a section for players rated under ≈1,400 online. If there are enough interested players, there may also be a quick variant section after the main tournament (such as bughouse, crazyhouse, Fischer random, etc.).

The top two players in each section will get free one-month Gold chess.com memberships, and there will be free pizza for everyone.
