Description

During the Agentic AI for Science (AAI4Science) Hackathon, participants will explore and evaluate the capabilities of artificial intelligence tools such as chatgpt.com, atomgpt.org, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, and perplexity.ai on scientific questions spanning physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology.

While these models can deliver highly accurate insights, they sometimes produce incorrect answers with high confidence (known as hallucinations). Understanding and mitigating such hallucinations is essential for reliable scientific discovery.

This is a hybrid event—register for in-person or virtual attendance. A Zoom link will be sent closer to the event.

Refreshments provided.

The AAI4Science hackathon is hosted by the Data Science and AI Institute and organized by Kamal Choudhary, an assistant professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering with a joint appointment in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and co-organized by Yu Sun, Chinmay Maheshwari, Laixi Shi, and Peirong Liu from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
