Put Your Research on the Map
Description
This Johns Hopkins Data Services 90-minute workshop is designed to help you explore how maps and spatial thinking can support your work. Whether you are studying environmental patterns, public health, social trends, historical events, or other topics, maps can be a powerful way to analyze and communicate your findings.
In this session, the presenters will introduce commonly used ArcGIS mapping tools and walk through a live demo showing how to turn a dataset into a map. They will also share tips for making your maps clear, effective, and publication-ready.
No prior geographic information systems experience is required. All you need is curiosity and an interest in exploring your work from a spatial perspective.
