Description

Amanda Madden, assistant professor of history at George Mason University, will discuss her project Mapping Historical Violence, which uses a geographic information system to interrogate proximity and its effect on incidents of violence.

The Digital Humanities Workshop Series is presented by the Sheridan Libraries Digital Scholarship group in partnership with the Center for Digital Humanities and LifexCode with support from the Alexander Grass Humanities Institute. The series offers monthly events highlighting the work of a researcher applying digital methods to humanities materials.
