Improving Resiliency in the U.S. Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Through Make-Buy-Invest Strategic Actions: A Workshop
Description
Drug shortages, rising prices, and supply chain disruptions affect us all. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, will host a two-day hybrid workshop exploring how the U.S. can "make, buy, and invest" more strategically to build a stronger, more resilient pharmaceutical supply chain.
This workshop is for students, researchers, policymakers, health care providers, and members of the public who want to better understand what's behind today's drug supply challenges—and what solutions are on the horizon.
The workshop will feature a keynote address by Stephen Ferrara, acting assistant secretary of war for health affairs for the U.S. Department of War, as well as distinguished speakers from government, academia, and industry.
