Ara Darzi, executive chair of the Fleming Initiative, will give a special lecture titled "The Fleming Initiative: A Bold & Ambitious Approach to Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance" for the Division of Infectious Diseases at the School of Medicine and the Department of International Health at the Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Ara Darzi, who was knighted in 2002 and holds the formal title of Professor the Lord Darzi of Denham, is also co-director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation, Imperial College London, and an honorary consultant surgeon at the Imperial College Hospital NHS Trust.
