Description

Join Michael Ard, MS in Intelligence Analysis program director, as he welcomes Ward Hayes Wilson, executive director at RealistRevolt, for a discussion on nuclear weapons thinking and the elimination of nuclear weapons. Lauded as one of the most original minds working on nuclear weapons policy, Wilson is an author and sought-after speaker who has spoken in 23 countries, at the Pentagon, the State Department, and at universities across the globe. His books, It Is Possible: A Future Without Nuclear Weapons (2013) and Five Myths About Nuclear Weapons (2023), have been endorsed by world leaders, Nobel Peace Prize laureates, four-star generals, physicists, religious leaders, UN officials, activists, and others.

A former senior fellow at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, BASIC (the British American Security Information Council), and the Federation of American Scientists, Wilson has published articles in anti-nuclear journals, military journals, foreign policy journals, and in newspapers including the Chicago Tribune, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, UPI, and The Nashville Tennessean. He was recognized as an RFK fellow by The Robert Kennedy Memorial Foundation and was the recipient of the Doreen and Jim McElvaney Prize for the best essay on nuclear weapons worldwide in 2008.
