International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories Panel Event | Policies and Practices: Toward Improving Campus Sustainability

The International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories National Capital Chapter is thrilled to host this year's flagship program in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University.
In 2024, Johns Hopkins adopted its Climate Action and Sustainability Plan, leveraging the university's unique multidisciplinary expertise to create an ambitious and holistic vision for a healthy, just, and sustainable future. This panel, composed of sustainability and facilities staff at Johns Hopkins, will discuss some of the practices, policies, and initiatives leading Johns Hopkins toward a sustainable future. Topics covered will include Johns Hopkins' high performance and healthy building requirements, lab ventilation optimization, ultra-low temperature freezers, and green labs programs.
