Pamela Tucker Course in Transplant & Oncology Infectious Diseases
Description
The two-day, in-person Pamela Tucker Transplant and Oncology Infectious Diseases certificate course, convened by the Johns Hopkins Division of Infectious Diseases, will expand expertise on infectious complications in transplant (solid organ and stem cell) and oncology patients.
This course has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. The registration deadline is 5 p.m. EDT on Sept. 2.
This educational activity will feature lectures from many of the most respected experts in the field, and provide learners with the knowledge and skills to provide outstanding infectious diseases care to transplant and oncology patients.
The course is intended for transplant and oncology and infectious diseases clinicians. Trainees, physicians, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, and advanced practice providers. Students and fellows are encouraged to attend.
After participating in this activity, the learner will demonstrate the ability to:
- Identify the important infections in transplant patients
- Identify the important infectious in oncology patients
- Compare and contrast strategies for prevention of infectious in transplant and oncology patients
