The Future: Privacy & Liberty in the Age of AI and Immersive Technology

Description
Join leading voices in artificial intelligence (AI), neuroscience, national security, public policy, human-rights, and digital rights for the Privacy and Liberty in the Age of AI and Immersive Technologies (PLAITS) conference. This is a collaborative event between Johns Hopkins University and Princeton University.
As emerging technologies—from AI (for example, large language models and AI-generated art) and algorithmic curation to brain-computer interfaces and smart glasses—become woven into the fabric of our everyday lives, we face urgent questions:
- What does it mean to think and act freely in a world of surveillance and algorithmic manipulation?
- How do we preserve autonomy, privacy, and shared reality in the age of immersive tech?
PLAITS 2025, as a mini think tank, brings together experts across academia, industry, and public policy to tackle these issues head-on through talks, panels, and interactive workshops.
Lunch and coffee will be provided. Spots are limited, so register early.
