Description

This focused session explores the dual importance of digital safety for health care professionals—both for personal wellbeing and professional practice. The speakers will examine how technology-facilitated abuse intersects with public health and patient care while providing practical strategies for maintaining digital boundaries in professional settings.

This session was created with schools of Nursing, Medicine, and Public Health students in mind. Lunch will be provided.

Key areas include:

  • Understanding tech-enabled abuse as a public health concern
  • How to center the digital safety of a victim alongside their physical safety
  • Recognizing signs of digital abuse in patient care settings
  • Implementing trauma-informed approaches to technology safety
  • Strategies for supporting patients experiencing tech-facilitated abuse

This session is hosted by EndTAB and sponsored by Health Promotion & Well-Being.
