Adam Dodge from EndTab hosts this specialized session. He addresses the unique digital safety challenges faced by international graduate students in the U.S. Through practical examples and cultural context, attendees will explore common scenarios and provide actionable strategies for staying safe online while studying abroad.

This session was created with international students in mind but is open to all graduate students. Snacks will be provided. All participants will be entered to win a Squishmallow.

Topics include:

  • Identifying common and emerging online scams
  • Navigating dating apps and relationships in a new cultural context
  • Understanding U.S.-specific digital-privacy rights and protections
  • Managing long-distance relationships and family connections safely
  • Practical tips for maintaining privacy and safety online and offline
