Health Care and Abortion: Hopkins Political Union Debate
Description
The Johns Hopkins Political Union is a debate and discussion society supported by a $1,000 SNF Agora grant. The goal of the union is to foster viewpoint diversity and a rich culture of informed civic dialogue and civil debate that is absent on the Johns Hopkins campus. Anyone with an opinion on anything civics or politics—left, right, libertarian, or anywhere in between—is encouraged to participate.
In collaboration with SNF Agora Institute, Heterodox Academy at Johns Hopkins, College Republicans, and Hopkins Democrats, the Hopkins Political Union is excited to host its second debate. The unresolved topics will be whether health care should be governed by the free market and whether abortion qualifies as health care. Dinner will be catered following the conclusion of the debate.
