Empowering Faculty in the AI Era: Ethics, Innovation, and Impact

Description
Claire Brady, president of Glass Half Full Consulting, will give the keynote lecture for "Empowering Faculty in the AI Era: Ethics, Innovation, and Impact," hosted by the Center for Leadership Education. Brady will discuss how faculty can move beyond reactive responses to take a proactive, strategic approach to artificial intelligence (AI) integration—one that balances innovation with ethical responsibility. This keynote equips faculty with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to harness AI's transformative potential while centering academic integrity. Through real-world use cases, emerging best practices, and hands-on strategies, participants will explore AI ethics, privacy, and bias; foundational large-language-model knowledge and effective prompting; and AI-powered tools for teaching, research, and assessment. Faculty will leave with actionable strategies to integrate AI into assignments, supporting research, enhance student feedback, and guide students in ethical AI use.
Note: This is an in-person keynote as part of the Empowering Faculty in the AI Era event. Brady is also doing a virtual presentation earlier in the day.
