Description

Join Michael Ard, MS in Intelligence Analysis program director, for an Inside Intelligence webinar discussion with Jerry Laurienti, an expert on Africa and its current geopolitical importance. An adjunct professor at Texas A&M's Bush School of Government and Public Policy, D.C. campus, Laurienti teaches African politics, regional affairs, demographics, development, and conflict. He also serves as the Bush School D.C.'s Africa coordinator.

Laurienti has spent 25 years as a national security professional, including in senior positions at the CIA and the U.S. Departments of State and of Defense. Laurienti previously served on the CIA's leadership board and as the CIA's senior leader in charge of analysis on key regions and topics, including sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and global energy and climate. He is recognized for his deep national security and foreign policy expertise, ability to tackle large problems, and knack for leading people.
