Valérie Gruhn: En Première Ligne Avec MSF (On the Front Line with MSF)
Description
What role does the French language play in international humanitarian response to health crises? Emergency nurse Valérie Gruhn will speak about the value of knowing French for careers in global public health. Gruhn is a clinician, humanitarian, and public health specialist with over a decade of experience in global health and crisis response. She has worked with Médecins sans frontières/Doctors Without Borders in conflict zones and epidemics, including Iraq during the Mosul Battle, the Democratic Republic of Congo during the Ebola outbreak, Chad addressing refugee and nutrition emergencies, and Yemen.
While the event is open to all campus affiliates, please note it will be held in French.
