Communication Access Best Practices & Deaf Culture Presentation
Description
This presentation, featuring Amber Murphy, assistant director for communication access, will focus on best practices for communication access in all settings. You can expect to learn about different modalities to aid in communication such as live transcription, closed captioning, ASL interpreters, and other accommodations. Additionally, Murphy will explore Deaf cultural practices and norms to consider in any setting. This information can be applied universally in courses, meetings, events, and daily interactions. Please come with thoughts and questions for this interactive session.
