Global Surgery Annual Symposium
Description
The Johns Hopkins Center for Global Surgery (formerly JHGSI) is hosting its 2025 Spring Symposium titled "Surgical Resilience: Innovation and Capacity Building Across the Globe." Come learn from leaders in global surgery and to get to know mentors and colleagues passionate about the field.
The symposium is in person with virtual options available for portions of the day. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided free of cost.
Special guest speakers include:
- Peter Nthumba | head and program director of plastic and reconstructive surgery at AIC Kijabe Hospital, Kenya
- Tamara Fitzgerald | pediatric surgeon and co-director of the Duke Center for Global Surgery and Health Equity, North Carolina
- Wayne Koch | ENT surgeon and director of the head and neck fellowship at Mbingo Baptist Hospital, Cameroon
