The Program in Latin America, Caribbean and Latinx Studies (LACLxS) is excited to present Joao Gabriel and Leana Mason as part of the LACLxS Work-in-Progress Seminar series.

Speakers:

  • Joao Gabriel (History, Spanish & Portuguese): "To Deport or to Imprison? The Case of the Mauvais Subjets in Guadeloupe (1827-1848)"
  • Leana Mason (Sociology, Spanish & Portuguese): "Rituals of Resistance to Racial Capitalism: Analyzing the Persistence of Jab Jab in Grenada"
