Immigration and DOGE: Hopkins Political Union Debates
Description
The Johns Hopkins Political Union is a debate and discussion society supported by a $1,000 SNF Agora Grant. The goal is to foster viewpoint diversity and a rich culture of informed civic dialogue and civil debate that is absent on the Johns Hopkins campus. Anyone with an opinion on anything civics or politics—left, right, libertarian, or anywhere in between—is encouraged to participate.
In collaboration with SNF Agora Institute, Hopkins Votes, College Republicans, and Hopkins Democrats, the Hopkins Political Union will host its first event. The unresolved topics will be the Trump administration's actions on immigration and the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE. Dinner will be catered with the debate beginning at 7:45 p.m.
