Description

The Data Science and AI Institute, in collaboration with the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, continues its series of symposia exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) with the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. The goal is to create a community of scholars whose interests include using AI tools in their research and/or are studying AI's impact on society.

In this symposium, speakers will address the science of AI. Although AI is making enormous social strides, much remains unclear about its foundations. The symposium will address the scientific foundations of AI and discuss subjects like whether it can think logically, develop individuality, and learn in a trustworthiness manner.
