The Johns Hopkins Science Diplomacy Hub cordially invites you to the "Science Meets Regions | Poland Polar Science Diplomacy" event organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the U.S.

The science diplomacy event will feature flash talks by speakers from the NASA Johnson Space Center & Polish Academy of Sciences, Polar Bears International, Johns Hopkins Institute for Assured Autonomy, and the U.S. National Science Foundation Office of Polar Programs.

Attendees will hear an overview of the global landscape of polar research and related scientific cooperation and international partnerships:

  • How countries such as Poland handle this increasingly contentious topic
  • Where polar science diplomacy comes to play
  • What technological and scientific solutions could be used to mitigate relevant issues and improve decision-making at local and global scales
