Just in time for Spring or Summer 2025 planning, Hopkins Office for Undergraduate Research (HOUR) offers two weeks of hands-on, virtual workshops to help Johns Hopkins undergrads get started on their research journey. Go beyond what's offered on HOUR's website and get customized, hands-on experience with the resources, tips, and best practices HOUR offers in these workshop sessions.
This session focuses on "Optimize Your Undergraduate Résumé for Research." There are two opportunities to attend this session on Nov. 13 and 14.
Learn best practices specifically for undergraduates seeking research opportunities, including:
- Résumé vs. CV
- Present yourself as a qualified candidate +Identify and highlight your skills
- Format for the benefit of your reader
- Exploit bullet points to your best advantage
- Don't overstate—but don't sell yourself short

- All sessions are virtual in the Eastern time zone.
- Sessions include hands-on activities for you to conduct your own individualized searches/editing.
- These sessions will not be recorded.
