Johns Hopkins University 2024 United Way Fundraising Campaign Kickoff
Description
Johns Hopkins University kicks off its 2024 United Way fundraising campaign on Nov. 11. This annual drive is part of a long-standing partnership with the United Way of Central Maryland and aims to raise donations for nonprofit organizations that work to improve the well-being of Johns Hopkins's neighbors, focusing on three key areas: financial stability, education, and health.
This year's campaign chair is Maria Harris Tildon, vice president for Government, Community, and Economic Partnerships, with a fundraising goal set at $525,000. Faculty and staff will have the opportunity to set up automated payroll contributions for any amount they wish.
The United Way campaign also empowers supporters to designate their pledges in a way that is most meaningful to them. Employees who donate $100 or more can choose to direct their contributions to a nonprofit organization or charity of their choice that serves underserved communities within the Johns Hopkins footprint.
