Lunch & Chat for Grad Students of Color: Navigating Relationships & Family Expectations
Description
In observance of Intimate Partner Violence Awareness Month, join Health Promotion and Well-Being for lunch and an open discussion to connect with your peers. The session will begin with a short mindful eating activity to ground ourselves, followed by a facilitated conversation about how culture shapes relationships and marriage and how intimate partner violence affects perceptions of commitment. Attendees will also discuss intergenerational expectations and strategies for self-care while navigating different family expectations.
Food will be provided.
