Description

Brandon Butler, a fair use expert and executive director of Re:Create, will discuss copyright in open access, artificial intelligence, software, and more during a moderated program titled "Open Access and Copyright: A Conversation."

Re:Create supports a pro-innovation, pro-creator, pro-consumer copyright framework. A copyright lawyer and expert on the lawful use of archival materials, Butler previously served as director of intellectual property and licensing at the University of Virginia Library.

This event is presented by the Sheridan Libraries, Welch Medical Library, Arthur Friedheim Library, and Johns Hopkins University Research Administration as part of Open Access Week 2024 at Johns Hopkins. Find the complete schedule of events.
