Description

Join the Rethinking Iran Initiative at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies for the inaugural Sanctions Convening event: "Can Sanctions Be Reformed?" As the use of sanctions has skyrocketed by 900% in the past two decades, their effectiveness and unintended consequences have become a growing concern.

Jeff Stein, a renowned journalist from The Washington Post, will moderate a panel of experts discussing the potential for sanctions reform. Experts include SAIS Professor Adam Szubin, UN Rapporteur Alena Douhan, and Bloomberg News journalist Saleha Mohsin.
